We are Multidimensional Beings

One must unite all aspects of his/her being – mind, body, and spirit- before any true health and wellness can be accomplished.

That above statement is my personal belief based on my own growth, development, and healing. You can certainly get better if you eat properly, exercise, and do whatever else is suggested for losing weight, getting over an illness, or improving one’s condition. Healthy eating is wonderful, but if you are always stressed, not getting enough rest, spending much of your day thinking about how far behind you are on your to-do list, and never, ever giving yourself time to do the little things that bring you true joy, because you just can’t justify the time, then you are still poising yourself even if you are not ingesting processed foods. For true health and wellness, you need all of you, every part of you, your whole essence to come together into alignment. And that means Mind, Body, and Spirit – your thinking, your physical, and your deep inner worlds must work together.

If you ignore even one part of the mind-body-spirit complex, you will never be completely healthy, happy, and vibrant; something will be lacking that will keep you stuck.

If you live from just your mind – you will be too cerebral.
If you live from just your body – you will be too physical
If you live from just your spirit – you will be too etherial

If you live from all three – you will be balanced and it’s only when you are in balance that you can live fully.

The questions for each of us to answer on our own are:

  • How do we live from all three?
  • What do our individual mind-body-spirit complexes need to thrive?
  • Does what works for one person, work for others?
  • How do you find out what works for you?
  • What does balance mean to you?

How do you begin to answer these questions for yourself? The short answer is really as simple as just being truly happy everyday no matter what is going on. Seems overly simplistic, yes. But it really is within your happiness that you find who you are. And when you know who you are, you know what you need. It is not THE answer to all of life’s problems and woes, bad things and major illnesses still do occur, but truly living your happiness is THE path.
